Deborah Lynne’s business career has provided a broad base of management, sales, and consulting experience. She has held such positions as Organization Development Director, Director of Human Resource Development, and Senior Consultant. Her major roles in companies like Transamerica Corporation, The Harper Group, and PG&E have given her a diverse background in leadership development where she focused on improving productivity using employee involvement strategies. In addition, she has designed and facilitated advanced management and leadership development programs to bolster interpersonal communication, influence skills, and team effectiveness.
Deborah Lynne graduated cum laude in American studies from Occidental College and holds an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. Her current clients include Sun Microsystems, CNET, 3Com, Advanced Micro Devices, Kaiser Permanente, PG&E, New York Life, and Hewlett Packard. She has also consulted with the Stanford University Alumni Association and has served as a facilitator in the Stanford University School of Business Internship in Interpersonal Dynamics. She resides in San Francisco, California.
Kevin Nourse is a seasoned coach, consultant, and training professional with over ten years of experience in a variety of organizational settings. He has coached hundreds of people in the areas of career transition, communications, life balance, and leadership. Prior to establishing his own practice, Kevin was an associate human resources director and internal coach with PwC Consulting, focusing on coach development, career coaching, and leadership development.
Kevin is currently working on a Ph.D. program in human and organization development at the Fielding Institute at University of Phoenix. Kevin has played a leadership role in the Metro DC chapter of the American Society for Training and Development, with an emphasis on marketing and finance. His recent client projects include mentor training, program development, and facilitation for a DC-based non-profit organization. The client was implementing a new mentoring program and Kevin’s contribution resulted in enhanced skills for mentors and contributed to the overall success of the program.
Kevin has an MA degree in Human Resource Development and additional training from Coach University and Coaches Training Institute. His current clients include: the American Association of Port Authorities, NCB Capital Impact, ASHA (American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association), Fannie Mae, National Cooperative Bank, FSB, and the American Psychological Association. He resides in Washington, D.C.
Dannie O’Flaherty is a performance consultant with over 12 years experience in human resources development, training, and coaching. She delivers seminars and coaches employees at all levels on communication, organization, and management skills. Her areas of expertise also include training needs assessment, diversity awareness, employee relations, teamwork systems, and instructional design.
Prior to entering the human resources development field, she spent 17 years in the hospitality industry, in which her responsibilities included consulting, management, and business ownership.
As a consultant and trainer, Dannie has worked in a broad range of industries with companies including: Ore-Ida Foods, Charles Schwab, Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, 3COM, MTV, Sony Electronics, Oracle Corporation, Applied Materials, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Sprint, City of Oakland, PG&E, Kaiser Permanente, and Industrial Light & Magic.
Dannie has an MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from San Francisco State University and is an Adjunct Faculty member for the School of Management at JFK University. She has participated in the mentoring program with the UC Berkeley student chapter of the Northern California Human Resources Council and has served on the board of directors for the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD), Golden Gate Chapter. Dannie is also certified to deliver Exercising Influence, Constructive Negotiation, Intelligent Risk-Taking, C.O.A.C.H. for Peak Performance, and other Barnes & Conti programs. Her current clients include The Travelers, OOCL, and Kaiser Permanente, in which she has a leading role. She resides in El Cerrito, California.
Nelson Soken has been published in academic psychology journals, presented papers at various professional technology conferences, has been an invited speaker on the topic of innovation, and holds a technology patent in software (EP1073943). Nelson has also taught psychology courses at the university level and has conducted internal corporate workshops in the U.S. and Europe on product planning and human factors topics. He currently trains the Managing Innovation program for Barnes & Conti Associates.
Throughout his career, Nelson has been involved in a variety of activities such as: new opportunity identification, product planning, human factors strategy and management, innovation initiatives, knowledge management, competitive intelligence, and leadership development efforts. When not consulting with Barnes & Conti, he is a systems strategist and senior engineering manager at Medtronic, a medical device manufacturer in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to joining Medtronic, he was manager of information resources at Honeywell International. Nelson also served in various senior technical positions both in Europe and the U.S. in which he participated in corporate strategy initiatives along with technical human factors activities.
Nelson received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Macalester College and his doctorate in experimental child psychology from the University of Minnesota. His current clients include IBM, MTS Systems Hugo, and a major insurance company. He resides in St. Paul, Minnesota.
