Global and Virtual Teams: Team Skills for Today's Connected WorldLeading Global and Virtual Teams:
Succeeding Across Boundaries

Organizations are looking for competitive advantages in a global, customer focused, and rapidly changing economy. Utilizing virtual teams offers competitive advantages through speed, cost-effectiveness, and quality. Effective teams achieve a synergy where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. However, difficulties can arise when building world-class teams made up of diverse high-performing individuals.

Leading Global and Virtual Teams provides you with processes, techniques, and tools to create and maintain trusting and motivated high-performance teams. This program, also applicable to co-located teams, offers team leaders and members the skills to succeed, especially when working across boundaries of time, distance, and culture.

Leading Global and Virtual Teams participants will:

  • Apply a model that describes key factors for high-performing co-located or virtual teams
  • Model the skills used by leaders and members that result in world class team performance
  • Target areas for team skills development through self and team assessments
  • Practice targeted team skills appropriate to co-located or virtual teams
  • Use practical tools for improving team communication and effectiveness
  • Develop an action plan for applying key skills to improve team performance

Who Should Participate?

Leaders and members of teams, whether virtual or co-located, who depend on communication and collaboration to get their work done. May be used for team startup; ideal for intact teams.

The high performance communication skills, and team process practice sessions were a good lesson in showing us potential failures as a team. I would recommend this program.
